Barbuda Caves – A TOURIST IN THE CARIBBEAN

Barbuda Caves

The caves are a very popular tourist attraction because the island is composed of limestone which makes the caves very interesting for visitors to explore.  Two Foot Bay is one of the more popular caves on the island where visitors can see tropical birds and animals like iguanas, birds, bats and very interesting array of flora and fauna. One can still see prints that there was life in these caves many centuries ago. Deep into the forested area is a spectacular sinkhole called the Darby Cave which is about 70 feet deep and 300 feet wide. It’s possible to see stalacites that are about 8 feet long that are formed under the overhang and a beautiful rainforest full of palm trees and ferns among other green vegetation.
