Christofell is the largest national park in Curacao.  Located 25 miles north of Willemstad, it is built on three (3) plantations near the northern tip of the island. It is the largest park on the island and home to Mt. Christofell which is 378 meters high.  The park offers eight hiking trails from easy to difficult, difficult being very challenging as the trail travels up the mountain. The park is home to a beautiful collection of some amazing flora and fauna. Nature lovers will find the park beaming with local birds and plants including some endangered species you will only see at the park. Look out for the wild orchids, the rare native barn owl, the palabrua, the Curacao whitetail deer and much more. This natural scenic beauty takes you through forested plants and a beautiful boka grandi bay. The Park is also home to Plantation Savonet which is now a museum and one of the oldest plantation houses on the island. The park offers sunrise safaris, guided mountain climbing, deer watching, cave excursions as well as plenty of other activities for the entire family.
