Emancipation Park – A TOURIST IN THE CARIBBEAN

Emancipation Park

Nestled in the heart of New Kingston, Emancipation Park – a park built to commemorate the end of slavery – is an oasis of lush greenery and serenity in the City. The six-acre public park encompasses a sculpture which depicts the image of a male and female looking up to the skies – symbolic of their triumphant rise from the perils of slavery;  fountains and public art. The park is a scenic place to hang out or relax, under the shade trees or just go jogging on the lovely trail around the park.
