Shete Boka National Park – A TOURIST IN THE CARIBBEAN

Shete Boka National Park

Known as one of Curacao’s breathtaking natural wonder, Shete Boka National Park spreads more than six (6) miles off the island’s north coast and is home to about 10 pocket bays, where various species of turtles are known to lay their eggs.  The park is named for a series of picturesque coves carved out of the limestone along the long stretch of coastline. There are four (4) major sightseeing sites within the Park; Boka Wandomi, Boka Tabla, Boka Pistol, and Boka Kaiki. At Boka Pistol the waves crash into the cliffs so hard that they reverberate with a sound similar to a shotgun, thus the name, Boka Pistol. There is plenty of wildlife to encounter as you make your way up the hill; goats, lizards, and the sights of hawks soaring above. The beautiful views from above the mountains will amaze you. The natural beauty of this park is out of this world, the underground cave, awsome cliffs, crashing waves and the wind of the salty mist all around you, are truly mother nature’s incredible show.
