St John – A TOURIST IN THE CARIBBEAN

St John

St John is the capital city and main port for the islands of Antigua and Barbuda.  One of the main attractions in the city is the museum of Antigua which holds the exhibits and history of early life on the island by indigenous people and African slaves. Redcliffe Quay in St John is a harbor for cruise ships, once an old slave trading port, is one of the oldest parts of the city. St John is full of colourful Georgian style buildings, various shops selling from souvenirs to paintings to lots of restaurants, bars, and duty-free shops. The city comes to life on a Saturday morning with the Heritage market on Market street.  Here you will surely find all the local souvenirs you need to remind you of the beautiful islands.
